Sharks Aren’t That Dangerous ?

Did you know that according to the Florida Museum of Natural History, more people die of alligator attacks than shark attacks. In the past decade the annual average of deaths due to dog attacks is 144 whilst the annual average of deaths due to shark attacks is just 11.

Here are some more interesting comparisons. More people die of snake bites than shark attacks. More people die of car collisions with wild deer than shark attacks, and funnily enough more people die of falling coconuts than shark attacks. Sharks are vicious but they’re not the world’s number one killer.
